Overview
Alfreda’s Cinema partnered with BAM to present By Any Meanz Sonically, an original live electronics performance composed by Suzi Analogue. The project required a visual direction capable of carrying the performance’s energy with clarity and control—remaining legible, enduring, and effective across both print and digital formats.
The direction focused on translating sound into image—using light, contrast, and controlled abstraction to signal motion, energy, and atmosphere. Generative tools were integrated into the image-making process to produce artworks that feel temporally fluid—evoking archival memory while simultaneously suggesting a forward-facing visual language. Rather than illustrative storytelling, the work leans on restraint and symbolism, allowing form, texture, and composition to carry meaning. The resulting visuals frame the event as both cinematic and intimate, positioning the performance as an encounter rather than a spectacle.
Deliverables included a primary event flyer for digital and physical distribution, along with two graphic silk scarf variants designed as collectible artifacts. Each piece operates independently while remaining part of a cohesive visual language, extending the experience of the performance beyond the night itself.
